Front Bumper Lip, '06 IX... Falling Off?

took my front bumper off a few days ago to replace the headlights bulbs, and when i was putting the bumper back on, the passenger side of the bottom lip snapped off, and won't go back on.... anybody have this problem?

it seems like its cheaply made; only held on by a small tab with 2 "glue points", i guess you could call them.

should i bring this to the dealership? it doesnt seem fixable by myself... with glue, a pinch snap, or drilling (ouch).

any tips? i'll try to post pics in the morning...

Exact same thing happened on mine when I was putting the bumper back on after a intercooler install. Little tab on the passenger side was just cheap and broke, I had it glued for a while but its starting to sag.... I think it's time for a APR front lip and some kind of custom undertray, or beatrush... the only things I can say bad about my car all happen to be caused by cheap plastic

man ive tried glueing it, anything to put mine back on, then one day i was racing a charger srt, and the thing just ripped right off!. in the process running it over, shattering into pieces. throwing all kind of debris at the charger because he was losing behind me. that was crazy watching all this happen at high speeds. all that because of some cheap brittle plastic!. oh well!, time for that C-WEST front bumper ive been wanting to buy.

oh yeah and... additionally.... i actually like the stock bumper... i want to get this thing fixed. is it really worth gluing such a piece of ****, or just let the dealer take care of it?

no swapping bumpers for me....

If you are talking about the little white tab, it can be purchased at the dealership for less than a dollar if i remember correctly. I'm out of the country right now so i don't have the part number.

ok.... to bring back an old post... i finally got this quoted at the dealership, and it was a joke. they wouldn't cover it because they said "theres damage under the lip"---so the previous owner must've ran over one of those parking strips. they quoted $800-something just for the lip. goodbye expensive, helloooo super glue!

i'll try some of that poly glue i guess...

p.s. this is NOT a tab... this is like a connected part that breaks easily - as seen above in the other posts.
