Funny I just fixed mine for the third time last night and boom here's this thread. First time it was just the first plastic tab on the passenger side that came off and made the lip sag right at the end near the wheel well. I used plastic epoxy and it held good for a while. Second time I hit a concrete parking thing and knocked off three tabs from wheel well to about where the intercooler starts on the passenger side. I used epoxy to fix all three of the glue tabs and it held just fine until I hit another parking slab...i know. This last time the drivers side wheel well tab came off and then the other three on the passenger side came off again. I used a different epoxy this time but same dif it holds great as long as you dont hit ****

Less than your insurance premium I paid under $200 at the stealership.

My trackside fix involved a drill, zip tie and duct-tape

Seems to be common amongst IX's. I currently have one side of the lip glued on using a 60 sec epoxy from AutoZone. Been good for a few months now.

Same thing happened to me and my friend.

Glued it with super strong epoxy, and also put two tiny screws in on the side of the lip by the front of the wheel. Since then it has been good.

wow, thanks for all of the input guys! i've 3M weather-proof double-stick taped it, and i'm going to head to home depot in a few to get some self-tapping screws... very small, short ones, to keep it in place indefinitely.

the thing that i'm catching, that some people mentioned above, is the fact that some people hit things, such as parking bars, and some people don't. i didn't have to hit anything - mine just seemed like it came off with the lightest nudge. my passenger side came off when i was putting the bumper back on after a headlight swap, and i used the lip (accidentally, i guess?) as a pressure point - but only lightly - with my hands. i didn't think cars should just "fall apart" so easily.

keep the input coming. this is interesting as always. thanks

I have the regular IX MR and wanted the SE lip. Well I got the lip and found out that I needed an additional piece. So that had t be ordered.

When I got it together, it still doesn't fit great. The driver's side is fine, but the passenger side hangs. It hangs mostly because there is no piece there to connect the zero lift to it.

my lip is sagging on the driver said. I just noticed it at break time. The glue contact point is not touching.
Not having a good day. LoL.

I actually just fixed mine last night. The tabs snapped when I was pulling it off of a uhaul trailer when I was moving. I ended up using 3m tape and zip ties. Hopefully it will last for a while.

See, I cannot do that to my car. If it was a DSM, I would've already busted out the duct tape

I need more of a clean permanent fix thats just as strong. I don't plan on buying a lip anytime soon and I really like the clean OEM look. I will post up in a few days when I have a solution possibly w/some pics to motivate the masses
