That Maclaren is actually a doable project on an EVO I think BUT it would require someone being willing to drill holes in the bottom of the car. I am not personally willing to drill any holes in my RS. If it was a beater or a track car, sure, no problem. As fast as my RS is I have never drilled or cut anything on the car.

The Vishnu piece, is it made of aluminum or something? I have never seen one before.

I probably will not make anything like that. The problem is the exhaust, everyone has something different and it is impossible to make a generic full rear tray like that. I am guessing his fits his exhaust only.

I have the JDM EVO9 rear on my car, so that is what I will be making atleast the first piece for.

I'd be very interested in upgrading the undertray. While it's a pain in the *** to take on and off when working on the car, I don't want to remove it permanently as it not only protects the engine compartment, but also has aero effects that I wasn't willing to loose.

I've been considering some other aftermarket ones, but none had all the features I'm looking for, so if you can come up with a good solution I'll definitely be interested.

Project Solo Gear (they make heavy duty rally undertrays for Subies) is working on a model for the Evo. They are made out of heavy duty marine-grade Aluminum...here's a picture of one of their "access" versions for the Subie. As you can see there are removable plates for oil changes etc.

+1 for a rear diffuser. Hell, anything that keeps air from getting stuck like a parachute I'm game for. I've noticed a lot of the drag cars are putting holes in the rear bumper for this.

That's the way I would love to buy it, something kind of "half-finished" and you finish it on your own car because of all of the part differences. This is exactly the way I would want it, but then again, I am only one person on here...

I have been wanting to do a little project like this for quite some time...

Do a generic one for the USDM bumper and for ur exhaust, shouldn't be hard to cut to make our exhaust fit. The APR was a good idea, but not functional to me.

I ordered more sheeting today. I should have it all middle of next week. I have more material coming for the template for the rear too. I hope, Monday or Tuesday to get a stock EVO8 in here and see how this is going to work on it.

Shouldn't be too much longer to have some type of kit ready for the cars. I am guessing for the front on the EVO8's with and without aftermarket lips, less than a 2 weeks for sure.
