I heard the rev limiter which means he still uses clutch but doesn't lift throttle.

UM... Am i missing something here? I can shift without lifting off the gas right now. I don't because it's massively abusive. faster, yea, better? only if somebody else buys your transmissions.

the whole point behind no lift is you can shift without losing all your boost....
therefor makes you car faster because you no longer have to build boost in every gear

from what i hear, you can also have no lift to shift to wear it drops the rpms almost exactly where they would be when you let off the gas to shift. so its like a perfect shift everytime. its not set-up this way in the video

its not just power shifting, this has a lot less strain on the transmission

im getting this ASAP, seems it would help me out with my 2nd gear lockout, so the RPMS wont climb so high when i miss a gear

Can somebody elaborate on this? I don't understand what the mod is.

Yes, I do realize that the difference in the two clips in the video is that boost is maintained, but since all I see is gauges and all I hear is sounds, all that most of us can assume is that the guy is power-shifting with the rpms bouncing off of the limiter or whatever during the shift when the gas pedal is floored. What can you do in this setup that you can't do in an otherwise stock Evo?

Not passing judgment, just asking for a little clarification.

alright, in a nutshell, this patch allows you to shift without letting off the gas, still drops the rpms down a desired level, say 1500 rpm's but you dont lose boost, taking a long spool up time out of the equation. It works. I did mine today.... pretty nice. Do a search in the ecuflash thread and you will see his post

tephra, great work man.... i will be sending you some cash shortly
