Track days and starter overheating issues?
Spent the weekend at Roebling Road for a NASA DE...the last session of the day the car popped off an intercooler coupling, so I cruised off track, only to find the car wouldnt start afterwards. We loaded the car on the trailer an came home.
This morning I put the hose back on, and when I try to crank the car you can hear the starter solenoid click, but nothing past that. The battery voltage is around 12.6/7, so I figure the battery is probably alright. We pulled the plugs out, and all four looked good.
Im wondering if maybe the starter overheated and locked up? Anyone else ever have a similar experience?

I had the same thing happen to me, but instead it was just from me daily driving it. I jacked the car up and took the starter out and noticed that a bolt had fallen in the little ground shield between the shield and starter and it got jammed in there, so it created a short on my starter, thus, my starter didn't want to start, so I just took the bolt out, and it worked fine! So take out your starter and look for any burn marks or any shorts...
