Boost Gauge problem!

Ok, so I just installed my prosport electric boost gauge, previously had a DEFI, but ordered the prosport to match all my other gauges! Well after install, took it out for a ride and it was only reading 16 psi instead of the 21 that my DEFI was reading, well I turned up my boost controller and all of a sudden, wam...Fuel cut! so I turned my my mbc all the way down to see what it was reading at wastegate pressure! 6 psi! So, I believe that the gauge is bad! Do you think that I should just install the Defi back in, or get another prosport gauge? If I put the DEFI back in, im just going to return the prosport gauge!

Did you use a different boost source? Or is it hooked up to the same spot? I heard this makes a little difference but not sure myself by EBC and Defi read pretty consistent together.

If you saw accurate wastegate pressure then it should be the gauge, and its not an autometer? ; )

i hate my prosport gauge....
its junk
sometimes ill be driving and the gauge just goes to 30in of vac and stays there....then after a few minutes it will start working. At idle it says im pulling like 24-26in of vaccum....i read a stock evo should have around 16in. is that correct?

one do you have the filter installed, two do you have the line that came with the gauge installed and three it should be spot on so will figure this out...

I am also having a problem with my prosport boost gauge. I have an Evo 9, and I installed it the way the instructions say. I hooked it up to the vaccum line going in to the intake manifold for the blow off valve. When I am at full throttle it peaks at 17 psi and when I am at idle it is below 30 in. I thought on the Evo 9s boost peaks at 22 psi, not 17 psi. Also when the engine is off and the gauges are on, it sits two bars below 0 psi. What is up with this gauge!!! Please HELP!!!

Does the filter affect the way the gauge reads?

factory boost for a IX is 20.3 lbs but many later made IXs only hit 17-18 lbs.
