He meant 2 .5 as in 2 x 0.5 liter, or two cylinders consisting of 500cc each.

I believe this pic is of a Cummins diesel. Diesels often use sequential turbo setups.

LOL....And lose all bottom end....I am playing with an inline supercharger...This was very successful in racing until banned...Should be especially beneficial with gt35r + setups -- have v8 like power bands and a much more street-able setup.

The 1.4L VW motor that is twin charged (supercharger and turbocharger) works very well with a very broad powerband.

Many of the 2.0L diesels in Europe now come with parallel-sequential twin turbo setups. Small turbo spools up first providing instant boost, and the bigger turbo comes on later for the top end.

And do you understand why car manufacturers use twin turbos? Broader powerband and alot less lag. Turbos these days are so effecient that twin turbocharging any vehicle is almost pointless.

yes and no... depending on the car... i mean look at the 335i.. that thing peaks TQ retardly low! I cant remember off the top of my head right now... but i do know NO single turbo setup could peak boost at the same RPM and still have the same peak HP

I mean Brabus made a couple Twin Turbo V12's that produce OVER 800ft of tq at like 2100rpms! NO single turbo could EVER do that
I've included a lil tiny about those rides for sh*ts and giggles

Also when If your talking about all Twin turbo setups, Diesel Trucks, boats, and more really need them as well it's the only way their able to make the TQ they need to push/pull what they need.

I do agree with you that turbo have become much more efficient however that does not mean that twinturbo setup's are unless
