Fuel Pump?

I have talked to some members and received the advice that I need a fuel pump with my new mods (cams, full exhaust, uicp, licp, tune) I talked to my parts supplier and install shop and they said it is not necessary until I am making more power, such as a turbo upgrade. I know you guys know everything about evos, so I would like to know the benefits of a aftermarket fuel pump? Is it overkill? Does it help with power? Thanks in advance.
I drive a IX MR.

When you get tuned, the stock fuel pump will be maxed out and will be stressed to the point of premature failure, so a whinebro would be a great investment.

Simple test.

Do a simple data log. 3000rpm-7000rpm. RPMxIPW/1200
post results...

Anything above 95% then you'll need a fuel pump...you'll need one anyways eventually. I've heard the IX stock fuel pump is a little better than those on the VIII's
