I'm not a fan of launching the car out of first gear, but once I'm in second gear and above I'm on it. I figure as long as the car is warm you're safe.

 

I never launch, never grind gears, never misshift. But I always speed match shifts, always get all the way off the clutch before going all the way on the throttle, and always leave it in gear for braking. I also make a habit of taking it to redline in 1st, 2nd, and sometimes 3rd at least once a day.

Going fast in a straight line is cool and all, but the most fun I have in the car is while it's at around 4,000RPM's and the steering wheel is turned one way or another.

Over 50% of you guys rarely drive your cars hard? At least that means that we'll see a bunch of car ads like this in a couple of years:

I rape my car to death every single day and she loves every minute of it, seriously. 30psi+100mph everyday = happy evo. Take it easy on the driveline though, Still have the stock clutch

i have no choice but to race the evo alot of punks where i live got cobalt ss's. from a roll good race tough smoked it!

 

every now n then when needed or bored

 

I try not to beat on mine too much, I need tires and don't wanna buy a new clutch just yet, after that though it will get some beatin.

 

i drive it about 3-4 times a week and it always sees at least a semi-hard pull, even just going a mile or two to the grocery store.

 

Never raced. Dynoed twice. Redlined daily.

 

You can't like not beat on somthing with so much boost!
