How often do you beat on your Evo?
I daily drive my EVO so I have never launched it hard. I just hit 1,000 miles and have finally stepped on it. I love the pull of second and third gear, its hard to believe the car has such great power even in stock form. I usually shift at 3-3500 RPM around town but I have to hit boost at least a couple of times every time I drive it. Overall I'm pretty nice to it, I like my gas mileage too.
I bought the car to haul *** and thats the way I drive. Unless Im seriously tired or occupied with something else...But 2/3 times I drive it Id probably be arrested if a cop were watching. And Im not ashamed
Beat on my car? Why would I beat my car? I wash and wax it but never beat it. It has never been bad to me
I hit WOT boost at least once every time I drive it, sometimes more.

Mine is a dd. Problem is I only live a mile from work. By the time I pull in my parking spot my oil temp isn't even warmed up! Whenever I do get the chance to get out I always do a little aggressive driving. Never launch on the street but try to make it to the drag strip every other month.
I admit that I don't drive my Evo IX hard at all. I know it's meant to be driven hard, but I just don't. It's my daily driver and I drive it like a normal car on a daily basis. I typically average close to 320-330 miles for a full tank. I do go out on the occasional spirited drive through some twisty roads around my house, but I still don't beat on it. My Evo has also never seen a race track or drag strip. I just don't drive it like it should be. That's part of the reason why I'm selling it right now. It needs to be with an owner who will mod the car (engine, tranny, intake, exhaust are untouched) and drive it like it was meant to be driven.
