BOV question

BOV question

so i bought the car with this already on it..i havent touched a thing. is this the stock uicp?? and if so did this person have this little "bung" welded on to attach this bov? idk...this seems like its in a bufu spot since its not actually on the pipe itself..

no there is no bung there it is attached to your turbo inlet pipe where it should be

hmm...i see. so if i was to get a different bov cud i just attach that hose to the new one?

he means buying an aftermarket one for the PSHHHH sound.... THAT is for paul walker and vin diesel.

and he's right.

90% of evo owners don't NEED an aftermarket bov... the stock/MR bov would be just fine for most people.

BOV and diverter are used interchangably. Evo's have a diverter valve also since it is recirculated back into the intake. That should be the determining factor between a BOV and diverter valve.

True, but some people consider them totally different, the less informed people. They are the same thing, but one vents to the atmosphere and one recirculates.
