MBC / Max boost?
MBC / Max boost?
I am thinking of getting a manual boost controller. Just wondering which brand is good.. I've heard of many using Hallman. Is it better to go with the ball/spring type?
What is the disadvantage with going with the cheaper <$50.00 ebay ones?
If I am running with stock injectors, stock internals, HKS RS, Tanabe DP, Espelir exhaust, Cosworth cams, Walpro fuel pump, ECU flash/dyno tune, currently running 22psi with flash.
What is the highest I can run (while being safe)? 26psi? 30psi?
Thanks for the info in advance.

You should get re-tuned if you're turning up the boost. On 93 octane, your upper limit is probably 26psi (on really GOOD 93 like Shell), but most don't run that high... most would say 23 or 24 tops.
On meth injection or C16, probably 28psi.
But keep in mind on the stock IX turbo, you will taper to 20psi @ redline no matter how high you set the MBC to spike... so depending on your goals for the car, you may be looking at a new turbo
