Brembo's take on Caliper peel?
Brembos
I talked to Brandon from Brembo too and he said the same thing. so then I called a total of 60 dealerships until one said he would check into it and come to find out it is a warrantied item under the original 36 month 36000 mile bumper to bumper warranty, but unfortunately I am over the 36 months and I am stuck like the rest of us who have 2003 Evos. Good luck
P.S. I LOVE MY EVO but will never buy a Mitsu product again I hope they go bankrupt and never cheat customers again

If it helps.
At the end of my warranty period of my 03, I got my wing replaced due to the clear coat, but not my calipers, all were peeling 2 were very bad, but the dealer refused.
I ended up taking them off, and picked off all the clear, (most came off with my fingernail)
cleaned them really well, and re cleared them with VHT (sp730) high temp paint I got from summit racing

When I was done they looked as good as new, and by doing so, I was able to retain the Brembo Logo.

^^Good info! If I dont get mine covered on my 5yr/60k mile bumper to bumper I will break down and redo them myself. I was going to paint them but maybe a light sanding and just a reclear will do the job. Got any pics of your newly coated calipers?

Well if worse comes to worse I'm going to do that too, here is the link on how to do it. I actually purchased the Brembo stickers already (ebay) and If I get no where I'll paint them my self. Just have to figure out what color will look best on the silver evo...

What did I do?
I went to the dealer and in so many words, they told me to go "F" myself, that it wasnt their warranty issue and I should take it up with Brembo or MMC North America.
I went ahead and bought a home powdercoating kit. Broke down the calipers to the best of my ability, taped them off with some very, very good 3m tape (forget what it was called, but I made sure it sealed)
I sprayed the caliper with paint stripper, after scuffing them with steel wool (even though the clear coat was so gone, it wasnt necessary)
I cleaned the rest off with a dremel and a rag, and proceeded to follow the directions.
I sprayed it down with red, and baked it in an old second-over my parents had.
Came out fantastic, I painted on the letters by hand and sprayed over with some clear coat. That req'd a touch up, but the PC was perfect.

I tired to get the dealer to replace my Brembo's while under warranty, but they said it was a wear and tear item. So, I bought some decals off eBay and 2 cans of VHT high temp caliper paint and here's the results. The decals and paint look just like new. Just watch out for brake fluid, it eats paint.

My buddy works at the service department at the dealer where I bought my car. He said the rep was a d1ck about it but after a lot of nagging and assuring him I didnt get brake fluid on them or anything shady like that they finally said they would replace them. Thing is only my fronts are bad but they said they would rather do all four so I dont come back next summer or something and they have to go through the hassle again. I cant believe it actually. But the car is sitting at the dealer right now waiting on four brand new Brembo calipers. I am also throwing on some stainless lines and some fresh Motul RBF600.
