old vs new

Hi guys,

Does anybody know the difference between the old Evo's like 4,5,6 compared to 7,8,9? We are talking about bone stock here.. Anybody had experienced driving them? The reason why I'm asking is because I'm thinking to get an older one too! (saw one on bay) Thanks!

Can you really import the 4,5 or 6 AND use it on the US road leagally? From what I heard is that it can't be done.

Anything can be done there are a fair amount of earlier model EVOs among countless other Japanese cars running the streets of the US

sports compact car magazine tested a vi and a ix and the vi was said to have a more raw driving feel

less electronics = more raw

the VI should have the same amount of electronics as the current evo, for example ACD, AYC these 2 systems have been around for years now (NO AYC for US)and they all have ABS too, the only thing I can think of lacking on the EVO 4, 5, 6 is the EBD. But the previous evo should have a lot of fun and handle well too.

evo 6 is actually lighter and little faster then 9, so less electronics seems a little better. And evo 6 has to be my favorite one of all times.
