no more evo guys, major wreck
had this up on socalevo for a few days, decided to post here to since evolutionm was my 1st evo site i subscribed too
still can't believe this happened. i was driving back home with my gf after seeing saw4, and getting off the phillips ranch offramp from the 60W, i swerved left to miss hitting some little animal (squirrel?) and my car hit the little curb, went down the hill, and started flipping. everything was so flashy and fast. luckily my gf only had some scrapes on her arm, but as i got up i could feel tons of blood oozing from my head.
my fingers were deeply cut, bruises everywhere too. we called the cops, went to the hospital, and i ended up getting stitches for my 2inch cut on my head. all i care about is that my gf is safe and fine, but it still brings me down soo much knowing my evo is ruined. my side of the roof caved in (which is how i got my cut i think) and the glass shattered. its real bad. havent seen it yet, but hopefully i can keep it and just rebuild it over the next couple years. as long as the engine is fine im sure its possible. keep in mind this was a new 06 evo ix mr. got it 2 months ago.
im either going to part it out or slowly rebuild it. i know its wrecked and rebuilding seems impossible, but the engine and tranny are fine. just heavy body damage. what do you guys think???

Glad ya'll are good! Hate to say it, but that roof is gonna be a PITA to get fixed... You may want to see what insurance gives you and get another one. If you have the money/resources than keep and it build it up, but i think it'd be more money than its worth. Yet again glad ya'll are alright.
i wouldn't worry about your car as much as your life. Glad you guys are still alive, looks like the car is totalled out, I wouldn't have it fixed. Total the car out and just run over those squirrels, it's not like they're on the endangered species list.

Hey, happy to hear you guys are both ok. I worked at a body shop and even if you had the hook up, not paying for labor, it would probably be cheaper to buy a new evo. You're going to need a lot more than what you listed like at least one new rear quater panel, b pillar, a pillar, and so on..... but whatever good luck to you whatever you're going to do.
idk about buying a new evo, socal is like sold out of new mr's.
the last one is at norco, and its going for 42,000.
even used ones go for 32,000
all the parts i listed will cost me around 4k, plus the pillars and panels.
well see, its not set in stone now, i might get another used one if i get a deal
