smoke on smoke off??? help

well the car has always ran fine and i have always had the valve cover breather just dumped. well to try and eliminate some possible oil gas smell etc i recirced it back into the intake like it is normally.

Well after i get on it with it back into the intake i catch a little cloud of smoke which looks white....... which should be water but yeah hahaha.

Anyways with it off i can pull on the car do everything and it wont smoke at all kinda confused.

No i do not have a catch can it is ran how it was from the factory.

Car is not burning any oil dipstick doesn't move.

well i added one of those little DIY catch cans and drove around it still smoked. so i took the intake off and cleaned everything was a decent amount of oil in there.....

put the diy catch back on and plugged it all in drove around with no smoke at all. came back took the intake off and there was already a little pea sized puddle of oil again......... and nothing in the catch so im assuming it will just start to smoke again after a few miles.

Any suggestions?

one thing i was thinking i replaced the pcv valve in the last 4-5 months or so if that was bad or not working on that side might it make the breather side leak more?

well if you have Oil back in your intake after installing the catch can (and there is nothing in the catch can) it sounds like you might have installed it wrong?? PCV could be possible. FUnny the smoke is white though. You sure it doesnt have a hint of blue or grey in it???
