They are a small shop with probably only a few employees. How on earth do you expect them to stock everything that they advertise? They can't afford $100,000 forecasting software. 90% of those items are probably C movers.

When they call the vendor, they probably get the same runaround you do. The vendors probably tell them 2 weeks and deliver in 2 months.

This is a damn small market ... and most of the parts on their website probably move low single digits each year. You can have what you don't want when you want it, or you can have what you want when you don't want it. The small companies that tie all their money up in slow moving inventory and end up fire selling it for 50c on the dollar will be out of business pretty soon.

It ain't easy runnin a small business, and there is never going to be an Amazon.com of the import world.

They are going to hit and miss on those time estimates more often then not. It's too small of a market to be even remotely accurate with forecasting, even less so with your thumb in the wind.

You all need to be a little patient and give them a break. I figure that as long as you get your product ... you're doing pretty good ... I still have not seen anyone say that they did not get what they paid for ... regardless of time.

I used to sell parts ... so I know ... I once waited 10 mos for a set of Nismo wheels from Mackin ... they had told me 2 mos ... just regurgitatung what the vendor says often ain't good enough for the customer.... some customers are just better to avoid ...

having been there ... I understand the wait now ... i expect it .... I usually order the C mover type of parts, but even turbo timers can get out of stock
Shut up.

Don't respond to a thread without reading the brunt of the posts. I wonder if you work there? I have not personally had the joy of dealing with Vivid, however I wouldn't defend a company who has proven time and time again that they don't care about there customers. I can understand backorder, it's a simple concept. However there is no excuse ever for avoiding customers and taking their money before a product is available. Yes, I mean available. If you know where to get a product but don't know how long it will take...IT'S NOT ****ING AVAILABLE!!!!
Bottom Line. _______________________________________________

Geuss what guys. Its 10 am and still NO EMAILS, NO TRACKING NUMBER AND NO PHONE CALL! I called them and left them a really nasty message last night saying that they had better call me today as soon as they get this. Still nothing. This is the 3rd email I have sent them as well and still no response. I think if this continues I will report them to the BBB and I will get my money back. Crooks.

They must be avoiding calls or something cause I keep calling them and they dont answer the phones. I called the tracking department and left the 2nd message so far and still no one answers or returns my calls or emails. <---- Not a happy buyer!

I won't argue with you there, but so far he's the only one that has actually seemed like he was helping... like I said though, this was after threatening with the BBB and my CC company to investigate how he was doing business...

A helpful post from NASIOC:
For anyone that pays for a product, gets charged (payment other than PayPal) for the item and it hasn't shipped, please call the BBB of the state they're working out of.

In Vivids case it's:

The Better Business Bureau
WWW: http://www.phoenix.bbb.org
Email: info@phoenix.bbb.org
Phone: (602)264-1721
Fax: (602)263-0997
4428 N. 12th Street
Phoenix, AZ 85014 -4585

And issue a complaint.

Also, follow the instructions on the Arizona Attorney General's page for Consumer Fraud:

http://www.attorneygeneral.state.az...ishinstruc.html

With the exception of PayPal, (becuase you instantly send money, it's not a credit card) it is ILLEGAL to have your credit card charged before your product ships.

If enough people complain to the RIGHT places, the state will bear down on them UNTIL they straighten up and do business the correct way.

Also, issue a complaint with the credit card company you used to purchase the goods. Enough complaints and they can lose their credit card use. It's against their terms of agreement to charge for items until time of shipping.

Ok well I do have good news. I contacted them dozens of time and whoever the idiot is at the tracking department should be fired. He never answers the phones. Well I got ahold of Dan in sales and it turns out my Turbo Timer just got here today right after I got off the phone with him. Im still amazed it took 7 days to get here. From Arizona to Portland Oregon what kind of shipping is that. UPS doesnt take more than 3 days gauranteed. They probably didnt send it out for a while. Anyways they also informed me the harness for the TT was on back order and should be in a week. Atleast I didnt have to wait for the TT forever. I told them I won't wait to long for the harness but I will wait a week. He asked if I had copies of the emails I sent tracking and I said yes I would email copies of them to him. Funny because right when I got home the idiot from tacking emailed me back saying it was on backorder. Its like hmm you email me back just now telling me this? Couldnt they have told me it when they shipped the TT out? Well atleast Dan was somewhat of a help to me. I will still keep eveyone posted on how long I wait for the harness.

lol, omg.

what a scam. You called "Dan" in sales? I thought Mike was the Sales guy, and Dan was just "the guy who answered the emails". Here's an excerpt from his email to me:

>From: "Dan Mermelstein" <dan@vividracing.com>
>To: <takeout>
>CC: "Michael Huffman" <michael.huffman@vividracing.com>
>Subject: RE: My Vivid Order (<taken out>)
>
>Please contact MIKE and he will arrange and change your invoice for you.
>He
>is the sales person, I am not in sales.
>
>Thanks
>

The funny part is, when I called MIKE (I like the use of CAPS TO GET HIS POINT ACROSS), Mike told me that I should write Dan back.

Quite a circus they got going on over there. On a less positive note, I just received my Vivid order, and it's the wrong ****ing size gauge pod. I called RMR direct (whom they drop shipped it from), they were super friendly and said they'd send me the right one.

As far as experiences go, they charged my card IMMEDIATELY then it didn't ship till days later, they hassled me back and forth from emails and telephone until I got one item taken off my order, then they have ignored ALL of my emails sent to Tracking@VividRacing.com.

They've lost another GOOD customer for life. Sorry guys, I can get ****ty service at the BMV. I don't need it from my performance parts vendors.

No you really don't get it.

... so you shut down Vivid ... so another Vivid pops up ... then all the people with orders in progress are really f'd ... and all you sissies that just couldn't handle waiting another week for your day glo boost gauge are jumpin in your beds ....so they are a little slow and uncoordinated ... it ain't fraud until they take your money and run .... I would expect RMR to be a little better .... after all they do make there own product. If you can find it cheaper and in stock elsewhere ... order it elsewhere ... so what?

Did you ask them if they would charge your card immediately? .. well so does Amazon ... so does Dell... Did you ask them if they had to order your parts? .... well so does Amazon ... so does Dell .... difference is that Amazon and Dell are billion dollar companies that can squeeze and coordinate their suppliers to the hour .... Vivid gets squeezed from both sides ... and you keep squeezin harder .. they're just gonna pop ... whopee ... I still have no heard of them defrauding anyone ....

Maybe they could communicate a little better ... but I personally don't need my hand held through every transaction ... and I can wait .... especially if the shizn is shippin from Japan

BBB won't do shizn. Trust me you pull that shizn on a company and they'll just say ... Whateva

I like people with poor grammar skills who seek out confrontation on message boards with half-truths and disregard for factual events.

"Maybe they could communicate a little better". How about, "Maybe they should communicate to people who have already paid for goods but haven't received them and would like a tracking number". Amazon and Dell give those.

I'm glad you can wait, you're a real sport. "Whateva" fo shizzle.

When I ordered from Buschur, they charged me when it shipped, and they told me accurately when it would go out. I received the goods as promised, and the world was a peace. Certainly not everyone has this EXACT same experience with Buschur every time, but Vivid has an obvious tendency for customer dissatisfaction that goes beyond a statistical aberration.

The BBB does in-fact provide a service; you saying they don't do "shizn" doesn't make it true. Later "G"
