Vivid Racing, are they slow or something?
Teusday last week I ordered a HKS Type 1 Turbo Timer (silver one) with a harness from Vivid Racing. I have been charged for it but it is Teusday already and I still haven't recieved it. I never recieved a tracking number or anything and they are only located in Arizona and I am in Oregon. That only takes UPS 3 days to ship it from them to me. I should have recieved it by now and it hasn't been very long but I am just wondering if anyone else has had good experiences with them? I heard a few people had to wait 3 months for their stuff? Well if that is the case then I intend on getting a refund. I just thought the customer service might have been better, I have already been charged for it and I don't even know if it has been shipped!? What does everyone else think of them? I am getting impatient cause it is taking to much time to get my items. If they didn't have it in stock all they had to do was email me and tell me it would take longer. I emailed them last week to asking what was up and 4 days later I still don't have a response. I am getting a little skectched out here. Anyone know how they hold up as far as service goes?
Thanks

My big deal is that it's just a Turbo Timer and I was charged for it last week and it only takes 3 days to get here via ground. I still haven't got it and they havent responded to my email which was sent 4 days ago. I read alot about what people said and some guy had the same problem as me, even ordered the same thing as me to. How can they stay in buisness if so many people dislike them?

You should ask the people at www.NASIOC.com
Here's a merged thread with some reviews. It seems that the other threads were deleted, or I just suck at finding them. They had a nasty experience on NASIOC, resulting in stupid name calling and, if I remember correctly, and attempt to vote them out of the forums.
However, I have never done buisness with them so I cant give you my opinion. I do know that they have made alot of people angry, though.

This is neither an opinion or past experience, but merely a hypothesis through observation of this and numerous threads. Vivid, just as all the vendors do, has their success stories. But you rarely hear about the service but rather the products and their great performance. However, when a vender drops the ball, that's all you hear. Then when someone posts a bashing thread all those who have already done their own thread jump in to add to the bashing that they've already done before. With the exception of RRM (that I have noticed), all vendors can foul up an order. However when I read about someone paying for a product and neither getting it on time or a timely response from the vendor as to why, it makes me think of an age old shady business practice:
First you as the seller have an opportunity to sell a product.
This product may either be too new and/or not in stock, therefore you sell the product you do not have in order to reduce the risk of overhead. What is the positive effect? You have taken the money of a consumer with promises to deliver a product on time, however because you have already locked in the business by taking the sale you can avoid the customer while the actual product is being deliverred to you. You have thus purchased your product in bulk by direct comparison to demand and now have next to zero risk in overhead. What is the negative effect? Now you have tarnished your name by letting someone on a huge *** forum get jipped by your cheap *** business tactics.
Like I said earlier, I don't know if this is what happens in these situations with our vendors. However the redundance of these threads tend to lean towards a pattern which historically represents dishonest business practices. Next time TRADE your credit card number for a tracking number.
Good luck.

I imagine they only keep little inexpeinsive things in stock which makes me wonder why I am waiting longer than I should for a fricking turbo timer. Take the Ralliart stuff they sell. I gaurantee youll be waiting months if you order that stuff. I doubt they stock stuff like that.
