Regardless, it being illegal is completely untrue. Have you never heard of special ordering a part? You usually pay for it upfront. Do they have the part in stock? No. Do they charge you for it regardless? Yes. Is it illegal? No.

You guys need to understand the concept of drop-shipping, a process where a product travels from manufacturer to consumer without being stocked by the vendor. The product goes from the company to your door, not stopping at vivid along the way. Because the manufacturing company often does the shipping, there could be delays getting the product that Vivid has little control over. I'm not here to defend them, but come on, at least do some research before posting blatantly incorrect stuff.

everything you said is true but there is only one problem. people are not complaining about special order items but on items that vivid stay they stock but then you wait a month or so only to find that it is on back order. if you tell a costumer that an item is a special order item than it is ok if you charge the credit card because the costumer is aware of the wait. telling people that something is in stock and than let them wait for months it is totall bull****. i am also in the business and the way vivid does business just gives all of us a bad rep.

"Maybe they could communicate a little better". How about, "Maybe they should communicate to people who have already paid for goods but haven't received them and would like a tracking number". Amazon and Dell give those.

I'm glad you can wait, you're a real sport. "Whateva" fo shizzle.

When I ordered from Buschur, they charged me when it shipped, and they told me accurately when it would go out. I received the goods as promised, and the world was a peace. Certainly not everyone has this EXACT same experience with Buschur every time, but Vivid has an obvious tendency for customer dissatisfaction that goes beyond a statistical aberration.

The BBB does in-fact provide a service; you saying they don't do "shizn" doesn't make it true. Later "G"
Whateva ... telling the BBB will have no more effect on the said vendor's business than scrawling "Vivid Sucks" on your own bathroom wall.

Proper King's english ain't so sardonic ... now is it *****? ... half-truths are better than zero-truths ... like all the BS about them breakin the law ... they haven't ... not once.... welcome to the internet ... land of make believe and squeeky wheels

Yeah .. I'm a sport and you all are chumps ... can't wait ... yeah it's the customer's fault ... it's always the customer's fault ... just ask anyone who works on a help line ... if you assume that the customer is wrong ... you will be right 90% of the time .... damn happy I don't work in sales ... you should be too

One more thing .. I keep hearing that Vivid said the parts were in stock ... I didn't read that anywhere from customers ... did anyone really ASK them if the parts were in stock when they ordered them? .... besides ... guess what? ... If Amazon says that an item is in stock ... it doesn't mean that it is in THEIR stock ... hell, Dell has warehouses adjacent to its factories that hold vendors parts. The parts are still owned by the vendor until the very last minute ... so Dell doesn't technically have the part in stock until just about when your computer is built ... that's how you get negative working capital ... if you can ***** slap your suppliers into such a comfy set-up ... it lowers inventory and consequently raises inventory turns and makes the analysts happy ... Vivid you listening? well too bad .. you'e too small

If they don't have it in stock when you order they should at least tell the customer. Other companies I have delt with won't bill your account until the part comes in and a couple companies will contact you prior to billing your account to make sure that you still want the product after waiting that long. Those are the companies that I give my business to. If your still willing to risk your time and money on Vivid and some of these other *** clowns who are willing to hold onto your money and never ship a part that they previously told you was in stock then go right ahead. You get what you deserve in that case.
