AMS evo for sale
this is stupid you pay 90k for a car, but then you have it break on the regular so it costs you thousands for to fix it. and who are you gunna get to fix it? not jiffy lube... of course AMS. its smart by them. they will make a ton of money
I agree.... IMO it would be stupid to drop that much cash on a EVO. I'm sure it is a nice car but you could take that money and buy rental properties or flip a home and make more money.
It has all top notch components, and was running at Buttonwillow very quickly, IIRC, against the HKS CT230R.......
But 60,000 is one thing. 90 grand.....I'd head for the GTR.
Sorry AMS, but its just a little steep....however, I hope you get every penny for it.
Im not saying its steep because it isn't worth it, but being how cars go, its hard to sell a car like this due to the way selling modified cars works, so it doesn't appeal to the broad market.,
On the other hand, this wasn't meant to appeal to the broad public. Best of luck!

They will get 40-50k if lucky. There is no market for specialty one-off race let alone Time-Attack cars unless they are significant in terms of race history or popularity.
As others have said there is no way they will get that much cash.

everything is worth what is the people willing to pay. If some one decide to get a $90k Evo, god bless him.
But i highly doubt any racer will buy it, since the best thing is build your own car for many reasons, don't you think?

meh... i sure theres some rich fool out there thats gonna pick this car up.... but yes people... we are talking "crack" prices for this one! haha $90k ?!! it better come with a hot lil asian import model to ride shotgun and give me "roadhead on demand"
The title is rebuilt. I personally went thru the process of getting it inspected, re-titled, and registered.
It was actually stolen, stripped of a bunch of stuff, and keyed up and scratched. Its never been in an accident, not even during racing it.
Its not like the status of the title really means much of the market value of this car. Most cars that are in this level of competition don't even have titles.

I am not really sure where all you guys get your infos. Here are my 2 cents... If you like to build your own TA race car, it will cost you more than 100k much more, even if you do the work and tuning yourself.
To buy a used track ready car, normally cost around 50k-200k depending on what you are buying, ie. the 90s bmw track m3 is worth about 500k now and that car didn't have nearly as mang titles thats AMS has on their car. I am not a big friend of AMS at all myself, but I don't think the price is too bad at all. Around 90k+/- is fair IMAO.

I have become quite the regular at the autobahn where AMS are memebers. People ive talked to take a high mileage vettes for example, drop it off and spend anywhere from $50k to $150k just to go around the track fast, but rarely as fast as the AMS ta1.
unfortantly racing cars can be a rich man's hobby, but its ANYTHING but stupid!
