This place is great.

You mean a race car isn't just a turboback and intake!?!

id go out on a limb and say the title really doesnt matter in the case with this car.. I mean whether the little paper you get says clean or destroyed doesnt matter. It runs, drives, goes straight, no structural damage etc.. I doubt they will even get 60k from anyone in the US but you have to get the car out there and see what someone might pay.. Someone out of country may pay the 90k.. who knows..

well that is thrue . You will not use this car as a DD.
So if i would need a prepreped car i wouldn't care the salvage title.
I would be more interested about what is in, who builded and how much HOUR this car was used.
In this case the milage and salvige title is deffenietly not important.

I think the price is good if someone will buy it for that price, and someone will!Didn't the Cyber-evo fetch $180K or so last year? Some kid is sitting on a fat inheritance who will buy this, or a true racing guy will. You really do get what you pay for. Good luck with the sale boyz! Clear out the garage, and on to the next bigger/badder project!

First-Hand Perspective

As one of the drivers I can tell you that it was only driven on weekends by a little old man (well I am 42 and that's pretty old in Evo land).

As stated what the future buyer is getting is a turn-key properly set-up car. It is crucial to understand that it is much more than the sum of its parts. Shops would spend a year or two trying building a car like that and still possibly not do it (and invest two to three times the asking price along the way in labor and parts).

Justin (who built most if not all the car) is a fantastic fabricator and you can see and appreciate all the details that have gone into making it a very light, fast useable car.

It is an unbelievable bargain if you plan on seriously going Time Attack racing.

Hurry up though, I think Crawford, GST and JIC may chip in, buy it and send it to the crusher

Looking back on this, if someone wants a racecar, ready to go....I wouldn't doubt there would be technical support in the future from AMS.

I dont know though, considering how stand-up AMS is, I would say they are selling one hell of a package.

I did a tally of the parts, at retail price, as to what it would cost.......

It comes out to (PARTS ONLY!!!!) 58,000 bucks

I mean, I dont know how some guys price their labor, but to rebuild an ENTIRE car like that, in man hours alone....have to be at least 40% of that cost, plus the car.

Considering this car has a dozen wins under its belt, AND its dialed in, ready to run....

Salvage title or not, this thing is worth almost twice what they're asking for....

The way things go, 75k would be a good price to pay with some spares.

I think the beauty of this car as well as most successful racecars is the time spent on the stuff that does'nt stick out. Seamwelding, dialing in, trying things that just did'nt work. In the end the market will determine the actual value of the car but I can applaud it as being the most hardcore TA evo in the U.S right now...That would look bada$$ in my sig....Now I just gotta come up with 90K, and some talent to drive it.

I love AMS crew ... love the car!

I know that price is reasonable and the car is worth the asking price BUT...

(my 2cents) .... the car is not sexy enough for 90 grand.

Parts and performance yes!

But if I spend 90 grand... it has to be an attractive car... there is a picture floating around with the AMS next to some GT race cars or TA cars, and the AMS car looks out of place.

That functional (but UGLY) wing has to go

SEXY SELLS

my 2 cents...

most race team would build up from scratch a new or clean platform evo. unfortunately they started from a salvaged evo. if you want to sell it at that price build another one from a RS maybe and sell it at that price. use the current AMS evo for promotion

You are just paying for the wing and the paint job. I wish i was rich though because I would have one expensive wing and paint job.

Only 18 hours left. Like it or not, looks like the market has spoken.
