What, I'm the bad guy because I'm stunned that someone would put a $90k price tag on a car that seems rather well used?

I am not interested in insulting AMS as they have a great reputation and build very fast cars, then again I'm not into hero worship and don't see it as realistic.

As for the HKS car, it's the only car that I said clearly beat the tar out of this particular race car but then again it's beat everyone simple. It is not built to the same rules and that is valid but so is my point that some other cars, one of which I mentioned which seems far fresher and should be in the same league for far less cash may make a better investment.

Good luck with the sale, I'm sure you will find the car a good home and I'm sure it will be a very lucky owner as it is without question a well sorted car.

I would think someone would rather purchase a car that is rather well used and proven.. would you pay more $$$ for a car with brand new parts on it that is "supposed" to accomplish what the AMS car has accomplished and proven.. Id rather by something proven with parts i know Work.. IMO the way the market is they will get 45k for the car i bet.. still worth every penny IMO..

So your thinking that they will get about half what they hoped?

I'd say thats about right. Fair price for a nice car.

i think what they hoped for was a little over 60k.. the 90k is probably hung out there incase someone hungry might jump on it.. Im guessing 45k based on what race cars i know have slold for with X amount of dollars invested,, still it will be for sale for quite sometime i bet.. Cars like this dont just move unless they are low low low priced..

I do not in any way blame them for wanting to get as much out of the car as they can. Like they say, the best way to make a million racing is to start with two. They are great representatives of the Evo community and they have been the most visible road racers of the Evo tuners. I'm thankful for their efforts, honest.

As I also see the current market and how very very nice cars are getting crap for resale I was just honestly stunned at the price asked.

AMS...

Please remember, there is ALWAYS an *** for every seat... Wait for the *** to pay 90K, it'll come in due time.

Cheers-
Erich

i wonder if someone who bought it would be able to maintain it as well. Its a bad A$$ car but im sure it requires a lot of maintenance after a day at the track.

It didnt get any bids though. ... i dont know why someone didnt just buy it as a collector car even, that sucks...

im yet to experience to much HP on a road course.. but i still havent driven a car with over 600hp either. i just figure more power can = faster times in drag or road course. but i guess it depends on the driver and if he can handle it.
