Just get some parts from here.(part out thread)
I think you can fix it for less than $2K including paint. You can be lucky if you found a bby parting out too

to really see how much damage there is, u will have to check & see if the unibody is intact. there is a motor mount on that side which is seam welded. ur trans could be damaged as that is the side it faces. if ur airbags didn't deploy that'll save u $3k. bodywork est alone based on the pic is around $5k (including paint). there is always hidden damage u can't see.

when i had the '05, my family was rearended. we didn't know until it was in body shop that the rear floor had buckled!! 1week turned into a month as they had to str8n the frame back out. car had very minor exterior visible damage-just bent exhaust pipe & cracked bumper cover. also rear suspension was twisted slightly causing rubbing from a rear caliper.

all will depend on ur insurance if they can repair or if they total it. they may try to fix it since this gen of evos aren't made anymore.

Well, better to learn while young - The worst part of the situation is the ego bruising.

I did something similar in the snow driving carefully, and even now, 9 years later, I think "What if ........".

You'll recover, the car will recover.
