Official EVO Insurance Thread
Can anyone tell me the exact reason why insurance is so high for EVOs?
Are they stolen/vandalized often?
And I know Evos are sports cars and people drive recklessley duh. but if I really wanted to go fast right now I'd blow my money on a 99-04 Mustang GT. So why doesn' the Mustang have the insurance cost too match?

Mustangs probably have a smaller ratio of incidents per driver.

You guys are going to hate me. I'm still lookin for an EVO IX in good knack, but thought I'd run a quote before purchasing. I was quoted something like $69/mo with full coverage WITH gap (won't even use since I don't plan on being upside-down on the loan) and a $250 deductible. That's with a speeding violation on from two and a half years ago, too.
For the record, I'm 28 and never had a lapse in coverage since beign able to drive. I'm sure that helps.
