Update:
I added my GSX to the Progressive policy and it dropped the Evo insurance even more.
$250 deductible comp, $500 deductible Collision, includes $5000 medical coverage for each person in the car.

GSX: $266 (6 months)
Evo: $344 (6 months)

That works out to be about $57 a month for the Evo (full coverage). I'm 38 with a clean driving record. Called my old insurance which my house is also insured with and they couldn't even come close. I think Progressive now does home insurance so I may switch my house which should drop the auto insurance even more.

I'm not sure how competitive Progressive's new home insurance rates are at this time. I'll check when I go back to work.

PROGRESSIVE INSURANCE - Policy holders please answer a question.

I have a quick question about Progressive Insurance.

I went online to look for quote and went by Progressive's first. I noticed that when searching for my vehicle, the website only listed a regular Lancer. Now obviously there is a big difference between a Lancer es and an Evo VIII which is what I have. My quote for 50k/100k was about $106 a month.

As a test, I quote myself a Chevrolet Corvette, and that quote was only $113 a month.

Does Progressive just not care? I am about to turn 24, so I figured it would be much higher. Some of the other quotes I got were in the $180 - $200 range.

So current policy holders... what did you all do?

Thanks,

Tyler

I have progressive and I pay 115/month . Had it since I was 20 , soooo

You have four doors and under 300 hp , its not a sports car

lol I did the quick quote thing like 12323 times before I bought my car because I though for sure it was going to be high.... When I finally called to get it they laughed at me because I had soo many quotes.

I had an s2000 before and that crap was 225 month... I have a perfect record too.

Yes, Progressive lists the Lancer but it will still be the same price after you through everything including the VIN. My insurance policy and ID cards says "Lancer Evolution".

Also, USAA was higher for me. I'd be curious how this compares to other people.

So who has cheaper than $57 a month for their Evo (full coverage)?

Just bought an 03' Evo, from Queens, NY, last week, got my first ticket in less than 24 hrs, actually it was while I was driving it home from the guys house that I bought it from, since I live in Michigan it was a long drive, and bound to happen. LOL 48mph in a 30! that sucked, the speed on the road changed from 50 to 30 back to 50 then back to 30, the whole way on this road, and it was amost 1 a.m. in the morning, I was tired, had been driving for 5 hrs already that day not to account for that I have been driving for 13hrs the day before, and it was snowing, what a crappy day. Well hopefully I can fight it since to office put wrong information on my ticket, he got my birthday wrong. LOL, hopefully I will win on a technicality.
