When I bought my Evo at age 22 I was paing $289 a month with Geico. I thought they were the cheapest but I was way wrong. I also had $1000 deductibles with Geico. I switched to Statefarm over a year ago and it keeps going down. They even refunded me $189 last year! I pay $153 a month with statefarm and my deductibles are $250. I also have rental and towing coverage which I did not have with Geico. I'm now 24 and my record is far from clean. Since I was 16 I've probably had 12 speeding tickets (not one accident) but I only have one ticket reported on my insurance.

Insurance
My insurance on the evo is about $180 but i have an s2000 too so combined it at $280 which is not bad. Consider having a beater car and the evo as your weekend could lower the price.

I was told by the insurance companies that I got quotes from that on a class scale of like 7 or 8 to 28, the Evo is a 26. That's from cheapest (7 or 8) to insure to most expensive to insure (28)....but that's just what they told me I still haven't found this source anywhere.
I got in a single-car accident when i hit a tree in my truck two years ago. My premiums are pretty f'n high right now and until next year when the accident clears, I got the following information:
Male, Dependant, 22 years old. ~20miles to and from work everyday. '06 MR
Quoted:
Allstate: $1500/6mo ($250/mo)
Peerless: $2000/6mo ($333/mo)
Nationwide: $1127/6mo ($187/mo) (<--insured by. That's with collision and I can't remember the prices, I'll try to get an update with that info)
Also, I didn't get a quote from geico but my sister got quotes from all three AND geico when she got her car and said they were much higher than all the above mentioned.

do you guys deal with an insurance broker?
i got the deal of the lifetime which sold me on getting an evo
BEFORE
$1102 every year for a 2000 civic
$15k/30k on liability/under/uninsured
$500 deduct
all on progresssive.
they wanted $338/6 months to switch cars. to keep both it would have been $1400/6 months!
my broker got me this
$50k /100k on liability/under/un
$500 deduct on the evo
I KEEP MY CIVIC
rental roadside
all for $1150 a YEAR on PEERLESS
yes only 50 more bucks a year, better insurance and two cars now
