Weight of stock seats

I have been searching for an hour and can't figure this out. How much do the stock front seats weight in my viii? If anyone has an actual weight with just the seat and than the seat and rail I would greatly appreciate it.

I have taken the front seat out before but didn't pull the scale out to get this number. I just am way too lazy to pull it out in the middle of this crappy new england weather.

Thanks in advance.

Not 100% sure, but I think the stock IX seats with rails weigh around 32 lbs or so. I would guess you should be within a couple lbs of that.

Thanks. Anyone else please. Also, I don't have leather seats just in case anyone quotes that. I really want to know the exact weight if possible.

Thanks. Was thier packing in the boxes...or was it just the seats and sliders?
I can't imagine the box you used weighed very much at all.

Good weight saving idea - no front seats - a lot more interior space too!

Yah, who needs seats, a firm couch pillow will do the trick, matching to the color of the car is recommended. brrrr.

Actually that is exactly what im trying to find out....the weight savings idea. My friend is parting out his 3000gt and has aftermarket front seats that weight 26lbs with the rails. I don't want to pick these up from him if Im not saving at least 10pounds per seat. My car is under 3100 lbs now and I am trying to get it under 3,000 without stripping my interior or anything. It would be really nice to have a full interior viii, with a/c, heat, and a full interior at about 2,990.

Thanks for responding. I think I am going to pull the seat and just weight it to be accurate so I can figure out if its worth replacing with something lighter. Thanks again.

38 lbs with rails and seat belt clip and all from my bathroom scale.

my sparco pro2000 seats with bracket, slider mount and seat belt clip is 29 lbs.

And, my sparco roadster passenger seat with custom aluminum mount and seat bracket is 21lbs
