18 year old kid....new Evo IX....first time driving stick...BAD COMBO!!
ure one of the few, my dumb a$$ little brother(love him) has a IX mr also. He takes more care of the car then himself, but he is a retard when it comes to driving. Im surprised he's not dead yet. Last night at a traffic light saw 2 girls in a honda civic, im in the front pass and he was driving. he had to show him that his evo will win against their civic. Well he does a wicked lauch and takes off like a bat outta hell. We get pulled over by a cop and he gets a exibititon ticket.

hey im only 17 driving a evo and i drive damn well and ik wat my car does and ik how to control it but i guess if ur stupid with the car things like this can occur. but just dont say oo well young kids shouldnt have cars like this because its not only the kids that r getting into the accidents its the older people too. u see everyday someone posting, "crashed the evo today" idk people just need to learn how to drive right and make there choices right instead of wrong decision that they choose. ik crashed once or anything. had 2 evos 1 03 black evo wen i was 15 going on 16 and my new one that i got now evo 9 se. and i do work my a$$ off for this car
And everyone makes mistakes, intelligent people learn from those mistakes and take them as research
Wow. What an idiot. I cannot say more than that...
Yes I can.
He should have bought a beater for his first car. He OBVIOUSLY didn't have the maturity or intelligence to handle the situation, and that's because he's 18, dumb, and was never taught hard-luck.
Were this a different situation - I'd probably say something of the same sort.

I drove lots of cars under 200hp but evo is so different. With my first white evo 9 I made a big crash either. But I was lucky enought not to take any scratch... even crashed at 130mile to a tree from back trunk. I took 6 months of physicological treatment than I went to race courses - took my license - then I bought my 2nd evo that I am driving now and I just racing in track days now.. If you are not getting smart with an accident you will probably die in second with an evo I think.

well lets see...yes the evo is powerfull..but think about it...if the parents get them a rwd beater...that is more dangerous than an evo because it is more unsafe and there is likely to be more accidents in a car that is older and does not have to electronic safetly features and ACD and YOR like the evo has...i think the safe evo is a good car to learn on
? By that logic the kid is better off in a race car since they have all the gizmos and are by far the best in terms of performance. The problem with a car like the evo or the sti is that they are very easy to drive fast. If you do something stupid in a FWD, 100 hp car, it lets you know right away and you end up in the ditch going 5 km/h over the recommended. If you mess in an evo, it just lets go and all the sudden you find yourself heading towards the ditch 30 km/h faster than you should. Cars like this are the devil in you ear, they are constantly pushing you to go further until eventually you've gone so far, you're screwed.
