Wrecked the car
Well i had a really bad christmas this year cuz i wrecked my car on the christmas day.
Long story short, while making a left turn in the rain/snow shower, the car slid and went into the ditch. the adjuster just came over and told me its totalled.
Pics coming soon.

How fast were you going and or how deep was the ditch! Also it's looks like the engine would be ok. take the insurance check and buy the wrecked car, a new tranny case and an entire body kit and maybe pocket some cash! Or you know.. do the responsible thing and get a new car.. selling an evo with a salvage title prolly isnt going to get you much money but it would be so much fun completely building a new car ![Big Grin](https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
"That doesn't look totaled... but that is just from what I see."
When they figure out totaled or not it has to do with % of car value I think and since it's an Evo parts are expensive. From the pics I can see around $10k repairs or more which is like 50% car value >.>

It doesn't look totalled but the tranny has a hole in it, the left side of the car sits lower than the right side, all the suspension need to be changed. the right wheel is bent. i did a little estimate, from just the parts it came to about $13,000 +paint + labor
The ditch was only about 2 feet deep but it had big rocks on the bottom which caused a hole in the tranny, fluids leakin from the tcase as well. i was goin bout 30ish through the turn and 40-45ish after that and thats when i lost traction.
yes those are mx's. my local lesschwab didn't have studded tires in stock and it was gonna be another 2 weeks before they got them. so i was still waiting for those to come in

I bought a set of Blizzaks for the first Evo back in March of 03, ran me around 900 bucks I think. I only use them in the winter and since then I've used them in 03,04,05,06 and 07 and I guess in a couple days 08! and still half tread+. Good investment for anyone with an Evo.

Sorry to see another EVO go.
I assume everyone that is saying it doesn't looked totaled works for collision shops?
If the roof is buckled like that there is more damage than can be seen on the outside.....I would never drive a car (even fixed right) after panels buckle from a frame tweak. It will NEVER be the same.
