Just because there are old threads with the same topic doesnt mean there arent new opinions and products, therefore even if you searched posting this thread is fine with me. Back to the topic though, i say if you can afford it get the short ram n a slight tune

The main reason I ask is because I only intend to mod Lightly(TBE, cobb ap)
Cobb says the short ram works with their stage 1 and 2. Everyone seems to say a short ram is good but you need to tune for it. I assume the ap takes care of the tuning end of it. thanks for your replies so far.

theoraticly you need to tune after any changes . Example exhaust intake etc.
But it is better off like you planning to do it . change everything once and get the tune.
I would say if you short of money, then dropp in will work fine with basic bolt ons.
But for me, or for the future reference /since the hp and tq is addictive/ get the short ram. And i would say get a good one so you don't need to change it. I tryed many of them so learn my mistakes and get the HKS RS, with different cone.

Drop in filter rests at the top of the air box. If you drill holes at the bottom of the air box, how do you expect any filtration to occur from there? You'd be sucking in dust and dirt from the bottom of the box.
Oh and regarding cone intakes. I had the AMS cone filter setup previously and compared to the stock intake, I was holding .1 - .2 bars more nearing redline. (only other mod is a cat-back exhaust)
