AAAAHHHHHH 87 Octane!!!!!!!!

i feel dumb right about now. ive been driving the wifes car for the past few days so ive been putting in 87 oct when i get gas. so today i take the Evo out and went to get gas and without thinking i pumped 87 Oct I had to drive 25 min. across town without boosting to the only place i know of in the high desert to get a gallon of 104. what a waste of an hour lol anyone ever accidently run their car on 87 oct?

Nope, but I would be doing the same thing you did to correct the problem.

well here in Dominican Republic, its either 89 or VP...you decide. So I am used to running without boost, although I do have a specific tune for 89 octane and another tune for race gas C16...now if only VP Import was a bit cheaper.

one gallon of 104 isn't nearly enough. That would only bring up your total octane a little more than a point. You need to put in about 5 gallons of 104, but I'm sure the tank is full. Continue NOT to boost until you've raised the octane a lot more, and no, octane booster doesn't count.

when i got gas i had less than 1/4 and i put in 6 gallons of 87. Would 1 gallon of 104 not be enough? i dont want to have to drive back out there again. what about just adding octane booster to help?
