Water Leaking?

Hey guys,

I've had this issue with water (I'm guessing, has no color or smell) leaking from underneath the car when car is sitting at an incline.

I usually notice this when I am pulling out of my driveway (sorta steep) I always notice a few wet spots on the concrete.

Is this a leaky water pump? where could it coming from? perhaps the radiator? I need some help so if anyone has had this issue please chime in. Thanks.

Richard

Have you been using your a/c? when does this happen? After driving the car? After its been sitting? Summer, winter, etc...?

No A/C or heater on, when I'm leaving for work in the morning, so it's been sitting overnight. Happened in the Summer and still happening now...

It could just be condensation from the morning dew running down off of your car.

Most likely just water vapor from your exhaust in the morning. Also, if you run your defroster in the mornings the a/c compressor will automatically kick on which could cause water to drip from the evaporator drain tube. Many times though it is just runoff from the sunroof drains(if you even have one).

Perhaps it might be the condensation, I will have to inspect more thoroughly tomorrow morning. I've touched the liquid and tried to take a whiff, smelt like concrete lol.

if it's not red, brown, black or green forget about it.

+1 sounds like it is from the condenser or dew of some sort so I wouldnt worry about it.

Ok, after some further inspection, I believe the water running off was from dew or something, but I noticed that my coolant was really low so I filled it up and checked a few days later and it's almost back at the minimum level. What gives? is this normal for the coolant to run out that quick?

It will fluctuate depending upon the temperature of your car.

The radiator cap will pull in coolant until the bottle is empty. Then it pulls in air. So, you may have some air in the cooling system that is being replaced by coolant. Refill it again. The level in the bottle should stabilize if everything is okay. Keep checking.
