Maybe thats why I don't ever get bothered by cops or ricers in my car. I have both my boys in the car with me 90% of the time I'm driving it.

I took mine off for S&G 3 or 4 years ago, and it's been off ever since. I only put it back on (temporarily) when I moved into my new house b/c that was the easiest way to transport it. My wife absolutely hates that I've taken the spoiler off, probably not so much because it takes up space in the garage, but she is of the opinion that, "an Evo isn't an Evo without the big wing." Which doesn't exactly explain the Evo RS...

I never did anything with the mount holes - have been going commando. I have noticed I've gotten a lot less attention from cops, and young "adults" (using this term loosely) trying to race me in their <insert name of random 'tricked out' 4cyl econo-car here>. That's not to say my car isn't loud, because it is. I'm a pretty mellow driver though and pretty much just use the car as an A-B car for work and such. Yeah, I know... 'zomg what a waste of an Evo.' I guess I'm just all growed up, and have nothing to prove, so take that for what you will. I still wouldn't sell the car for anything. It's still an absolute blast when the go pedal hits the floor.

So, the main point I'm trying to get at in all my jibber jabber, and the BEST thing I like about having the spoiler off, is I can actually see out the back window.

Nothing better than rolling wingless. That and removing the logo that says "Evolution" both make the car cleaner looking and get rid of the cop issues. They just pull evos over because of the look.

Remove the wing, and install a Rexspeed wing.

 

I only compliment the guys with Rexpeed wings because I can't bring myself to tell them to their face that it's an ugly piece of carbon tape.

i was looking into a carbon fiber trunk myself but i dont know how its gonna look with tarmac black, but im deffently gonna look into it alot more
