I get about 23-24 MPG almost every fill up these days. Check that tire pressure, and if you have bigger injectors check your fuel trims out every once in a while...

What were the circumstances with your 28 mpg trip in your Evo? I've thought that I was probably one of the better Evo drivers (in terms of maximizing fuel efficiency) and the best I had gotten was 27.07 mpg (bone stock IX SE on California 91 octane).

Typical tank for me would be somewhere around 20.2-22.1 on 91. Ever since I changed to E85, it's kind of hard to tell. I haven't let it settle in yet so I'll end up doing one or two pulls through 3/4 and notice that a chunk of gas is missing. On the trip back from my initial E85 tune I had 17.x mpg (same tank as the pulls), but my average around town/to work (work is about 5 miles of semi highway and stop/go) is 15.

Interesting... I usually shift at around the same rpm and keep speeds around that same level, though I don't go that high with tire pressure... I usually run 36f/33r.

My MPG in the Evo

Ok this is bugging me. I have an 2006 Evo IX MR. I bought the car with he Works T340 package.

My gas milage sucks. I am getting less than 200 miles on a full tank. Mixed driving highway and city. More City so lots of stop and go. I use 93 octane in the car. I don't drive like an elderly person but I don't always go into boost either. Is this normal to have this crappy gas milage?

I do almost all Highway driving and get about 25mpg or around 300 miles per tank. SO 200 with mainly city driving sounds about accurate.

As a side note, I recently replaced the stock Advans on my IX SE with Direzza Z1 Star Specs of the same size. I have noticed that my overall fuel efficiency is slightly lower, and I've driven the car for a bit over 1500 miles so far.

A little late to the Evo game...but my MPG has been decent...

Last tank I got 286 miles on 11.3 gallons...(about 25mpg)

This is mixed daily commuting of canyon roads and freeway...a few redline blasts mixed in

The Z1s are heavier.
