I get between 170-190 miles to my tank. How the hell are some of you claiming 300? I get that mileage while driving out of boost and I shift at or below 3k RPMs. Maybe my tire pressures are whacked, but it still doesn't seem as if it would make THAT much of a difference. Do you drive only on the highway and even then like a grandma?

I find 360 pretty hard to believe unless you drove until you were running on fumes. How long were you driving with the low fuel indicator on?

I also get around 280 on average. I drove half a tank on Highway only miles and hit 315 and it was right on the E line.

My best MPG yet was on the way to MOD. Even with sitting in traffic on 355s for an hour I hit 24.5mpg for the trip. I was flying at 100-120 most of the way down there.

True story though, I had a free factory oil change that I cashed in and I started getting really poor gas milage this winter. I was averaging 22.5mpg very consistently on IL ethanol, but dropped to about 19.5-20 after that oil change. I couldn't figure it out and just changed back to to amsoil 10w-40 and the car not only sounded/felt better, but my milage jumped up to 23.5mpg for 2 tanks. Go figure. I don't have any scientific proof but that sure sounds fishy to me!

I just had a great tank of gas... bone stock IX SE with ~10,800 miles on the clock.

293.3 miles / 10.975 gallons = 26.73 mpg (my best to date)

I was really surprised, since I had the A/C running for roughly 200 of those miles, and I was sitting in traffic a few times. I must have the magic touch.

I just got back from a trip and got my best MPG to date. I got 300 miles which equated to around 25 MPG. I was doing this averaging 85 MPH. I was extremely surprised with this result because I usually average around 200 miles between fill ups.

i think its something like 75% off gas consumption is dependent on drivign style aka boost or no boost , i never boost use mobil one , 95% highway , no headlights on 275-290 a tank?

when i drove from kentucky to washington i was hitting 230-250 through the built up areas around chicago and indianapolis but in south dakota and montana i was getting 275 to 280 and i was hammering on her on I-90. i did get some bad gas in western iowa and it was so bad the car wouldnt even idle at a red light, i threw some dry gas in it and ran the **** out of it till central south dakota and after that everything was fine. i also drove the entire way with my head lights and fogs on so i dont think they were a factor.

i drive about 55-60 miles a day to work and back and average 240 miles till the light turns on... 90% of that time is stuck in traffic, no headlights, no a/c... i go through about 5 tanks of gas a month on average. usually i fill up right when the light turns on and it takes about 12 gallons to fill up meaning i still had another 2 gallons in the tank.

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead, but I felt it was appropriate... I just got 27.07 mpg this past weekend in my bone-stock IX SE

yeah, tire pressure is key - since I DD, I keep my tire pressure with the heavy winter tires at 35psi all around. . .and I am happy to get something like 250 to a tank.

But I have a mini-tank by everyone's standards, something like 10 gallons? LOL
