Anyone that is suddenly getting poor gas mileage should check for a boost leak. Also verify that your EGR line hasn't blown off or any other vacuum lines. I had got tuned for high boost and my MPG dropped to 180ish (from 220+), I had 2 vacuum lines come off, one at the TB and the EGR valve.

Evo 9 with 100% Interstate driving cruising in 5th gear at 65 MPH with the wing on and less than 30 PSI in all 4 (snow) tires got me 330 miles from full to 1/4 of a tank. I've done this 4 times, same results every time. This is running on Shell 93 octane bought in KY. If I use Shell 93 bought in IL, I get more like 280-290 for the same thing. IL puts up to 10% ethanol in their gas and still charges more. It's pathetic how much this state rips people off.

That's one of the reasons I will NEVER live in Kalifornia.

1. Crappy gas.

2. Stupid gun laws.

3. Liberals / hippies.

F*ck that communist state.

^ Maybe, but it's a small price to pay. I could care less about the gas though, I really wouldn't want to live anywhere else in the country.

The cheapest gas at a decent station was $3.21 per gallon today... woooooo hooooo

However you justify living in a state with the horrible laws that your state has is up to you. I just couldn't do it. It would feel like imprisonment on everything you do.

Sheeeeeettttt.......I can't wait to get my EVO in a couple of months so that my mileage can INCREASE. I'd die to get what you guys are getting. My almost bone stock FD RX-7 gets 14 MPG. That equates to about 160 miles on a tank with 50% city and 50% highway. Consider yourself lucky!

The weather, the beaches and the women. Not a bad tradeoff.

The rolling power outages, the earthquakes, and the fires. You're absolutely right.

Let's get back on topic.

and Illinois is any better??

1. Some of the country's most expensive gas (I'll give you 93 octane though)

2. Much worse gun laws (Firearm Identification cards?? )

3. More liberals/hippies than Wisconsin and California combined

and don't tell me I don't know anything about Illinois. I grew up there from 6 months old to graduating high school and my mother just moved out here to Colorado to get away from that over run place...

I'm here by order, not by choice. I'm originally from KY and live up here because of my job (career).

I've never, ever, EVER, said that I like IL. In fact, about the only good thing I can think of that IL has is AMS. The FOID is a joke, luckily my Military ID card overrides that.

I guess I'm wrong but I thought colder weather might improve MPG? or to a certain degree?

My thought behind this was, the car is breathing colder air, therefore more oxygen gets sucked in, etc etc, and the engine is in turn breathing better?

hope someone understands me.. lol

The weaher has been much colder than normal and plys my tire pressure were all 30 and below. I set them all to 37-38 and I think I saw the gas gauge move toward the F on the drive home from work
