what? It is true that water gets through but it shouldn't cause any damage. Once the manifold and turbo get hot enough (within 10 seconds of turning the car on) it creats steam. Unless water went into your spark plug holes and into the engine verses on the engine which is pretty much impossible with the cover and boots and wires...Even if it went through the air filter I don't think your car would even start since water doesn't compress well. Free bump for you.

That's weird usually water eveaporates right up when it reaches inside the engine bay.

Is it making any noise?

Did you check all the IC piping to make sure you haven't blown any of them off?

Going to need more information. What is the car doing when it hits 2500rpms? Sound like a rev limiter or studder? Are you getting a CEL?

yup IC pipes i would say, from the intercooler to the engine block, check all couplers. My friends brand new Evo 9 MR's Coupler that connects the upper IC pipe to the engine block popped off, and his car wouldn't go above 2000-3000 RPMS nor more than 20mph

jeez.........and this is a good reason to leave the rain guards off in the front in case something like this happens on the IC side on the side of the road.........
