Hey guys, I have a 1994 Eclipse GS and I was wondering if a 4G63t out of an evo can be put into it. I have seen a 2JZ put into a ford probe so why wouldn't a 4G63 fit in my eclipse?

 

You could sell your Eclipse and buy an Evo for a hell of alot cheaper than the fab work and engine/drivetrain needed to make that swap happen.

the motor would fit. u would jsut have to get a adapter plate to mount up ur trans.its not really that hard. but that motor in a front wheel drive car would be pointless.

 

you will have to change all the engine mounts to the other side. If you really want to put a evo 4-9 engine into a eclipse get a 2g non turbo and the engine will bolt into it. other wise for a 1g you could use a evo I-III engine that will bolt right in. But in the end it would not be worth it. Just buy a new car
