stop behind gas pedal?
There's a rubber or plastic cylinder sticking out behind the throttle from the floorboard. Does everybody have that or is it a shipping piece (to prevent WOT?) dealer forgot to remove?
thanks!
thanks!
there was a thread like this before .. it had the most logical and most likely real answer aswell. go find it 'cause i can't remember exactly what it said and i don't want to sound like an idiot.
::EDIT:: disregard earlier post .. i couldn't find the old thread.

Yes its there, no it doesn't seem to prevent WOT. Verified by having the wife hold the throttle to the floor, then I tried to turn the throttle blade from inside the engine compartment by hand... it was already maxed, no more rotation left.
Only time the wife has sat in the driver's seat... heh

I would think it was there so that if you ever got the idea to slam down the gas really hard, it wouldn't put so much tension on the cable as to do damage to the throtlte body assembly. In stead of going WOT, you would go WBT (wide broken throttle).
Double check this by having your butterfly valve opened all the way and look at your S-AFC readout for throttle %. Valve should be fully opened right at 100%, obviously. If you are at 100% and blade still has to rotate a bit, you know you got a problem somewhere that you need to address.
