okay how about the remote wire going to your amp from your head unit. I remember that once i had a problem in that my amp wouldn't even turn on. turned out it was my remote wire and i had to send it threw a relay set up to boost the signal. Also did any wires get pinched at all?

i removed the subs from the box before taking the box out. i'm gonna triple check the wiring one more time after class. i check the power cont. wire and it's hooked up properly. i dont think any wires were pinched. i'm using 8awg wires for the subs and 4awg wires for the amp and cap.

not initially, but i disconnected it after i noticed the problem. my set my HU levels again, but my subs still sound significantly weaker than normal.
