Passenger flooboards pretty wet....grrr

Anyone know or heard of this problem before? Im pretty pissed off right now. Have noticed the past few weeks during heavy rain the passenger front AND rear carpet is very wet. Ive had the car up on a lift and have noticed no holes/rust etc on the underbody of the car so im wondering where this could be coming from. Im thinking its dripping down from the a pillar or something. Possibly windshield leak or something?

How would you guys approach finding where its coming from? I dont want the car to rust down the road and i dont want to smell either. Thanks for the help

I had this happen to me on a prior car, don't know if it applies here but probably one place to look. The drainage path (for the front windshield) becomes clogged or pinched and in heavy rain it will overflow and come through the firewall onto the passenger floor and then onto the back seat floor. Just need to clean up that drainage path. Though my car was 7-8 years old before that happened. Hope this helps.
