you know these cars are all wheel drive and supposed to give you cofidence in the snow,my evo was the opposite so much understeer it was scarry,i lost it a couple of time in the snow but luckily did not crash i did in the rain though twice by spinning out, front wheel drive gives you the most confidence in bad weather hands down, all wheel drive is good not to get stuck but thats about it,overated

Glad you're ok! winter tires are a must, I don't really think advans are good tires for daily driving from my personal expiriances. They're great on a dry track though!

hate to say it, but the "setup coming by spring" has either been pushed back or expedited.

AWD is far superior to FWD in winter but it's not as intuitive to drive. In a FWD car, if you're sliding or losing grip, you instinctively let off the throttle. In an AWD car, this leads to havoc and will just throw you into a spin or keep you sliding.

exactly, thats why alot of newbies crash/spin evos, myself included. until you learn how to drive an AWD car, its worse than FWD.

whats with people always saying add gas when you loose control.

On my 2+ hour trip back from ct, when ever i felt traction loss i just slowly let go of the gas pedal, and all was fine. I rather crash at 35mph than 50mph.
