Question about pre-2001 EVO's

I'm looking for an EVO VI or later model..

I don't wanna be flamed! But I've searched so many forums and classifieds.. Just thought I'd straight out ask..

Doesn't need to be titled, it's going to be a track *****. Any website, service or information in general would be great. Thanks guys!

Brian

If it is going to be used for offroad use only than I don't see the need to have the car registered.Im not familiar with any websites but you may want to try EPA and DOT to see what their rules and regulations are in this matter. You may also try to find a EVO VI or older that is already in the states or maybe have one imported to a state that is not as strict if you want to have the car registered.I have seen a lot of JDM RHD cars registered in Florida so that may be an idea.Good luck.

There was a 6 for sale recently on EVOm. However, you might be better of importing a model from Japan since you're intending to use it as a track car. I'd research the rules and regs before going either route though.

Thanks for the input, I was afraid of a total flaming..

I agree, there seems to be some kind of loop hole over in Florida. Still trying to find an old EVO in the states is hard.. Guess I'll have to keep my eyes open for a deal..

Anyone know a good site to find off road imports?

I saw that a member was selling an EVO 6 TME is Socal in the 626 area code a few months back.I also remember there being a company called fast4wheels or something like that located in Texas. They had some skyline's and a few other cars registered for sale.

Maybe you can contact them and see if they can get you what you are looking for.I would try in Arizona as well.I have seen quite a few R32 and R33 skylines registered for sale there.
