Question Evo service

Hi i am going to service my IX tomorrow and just want an idea of what are the best fluids to buy i am going to change the following:

oil
oil filter
diff oil
TC fluid
transmission fluid

Can someone give me the brand (eg mobil1, castrol, etc) and the rating (10W-30 etc.) of what i need to get? Please be specific ...ppl tell me get synthetic oil...i want a little more clarification. by the way i am in Trinidad and its a JDM 2006 Evo IX..

Also do the octane boosters, eg. Prestone make any difference?

Thanks a million!

Mobil one is the best for your car, stick with 10W 30. Castrol is acceptable also. About the other fluids, you have to buy from the dealer, its gonna be this stuff called DiaQueen.

www.ttp-engineering.com sells diaqueen, check this out too. http://evomoto.com/index_tech.php?tP...1bf8687e0775a0. I would stick with mobil one for the engine too its what comes with it. OEM all the way people have had tons of problems when they start mixing and matching fluids.

Be warned, not all Mitsu dealers use Diaqueen. I asked the local mistu dealer what I should put in my tranny and they recommended Castrol, said it doesnt matter as long as it's the same viscosity. This is one more reason why I dont trust them to work on my car.

use oem oils, 64k on my 05. since day one ive been using diaqueen and mobil 1 10w30 fully synth, and red line on trans. no problems. so engine oil change every 3k 3.5k miles and on tc/rear diff/trans every 15-20k

Holy Crap!! This is really bad advice... Royal Purple in the drivetrain parts is asking for catastrophic problems. Don't ask me how I know...
