SO close to having an evo tonight

ive had a truck since i started driving at 15 and ive taken good care of it but i just replaced the exhaust manifold last month and now power steering fluid is leaking everywhere. Ive been talking to my dad about getting an evo since ive been driving for 3 or 4 years with no wrecks and no tickets so insurance wouldnt be too bad.
i think i have a good chance but tonight a deer ran out in front of me and for some reason i put the brakes on the floor, slid to a stop and barely missed it.
i was furious because if i had just stayed off the brakes a little the truck would have been totalled (it has a salvage title right now) and i would have gotten around 8K for it from insurance.
that would put me one step closer to an evo and i missed it.
but the good ting is i still have a truck to sell and its still falling apart so i need a reliable car to get me to and from college.

anyway im looking for some good things to throw in my arguement for an evo to help me get my dream car and maybe some good reason for not turning bambi into sludge haha.

Just have patience, took me 2 years before I was able to get my IX, and it was well worth the wait. My patience rewarded me with a sick low car payment, compared to some of my EVO brothers, I have a friend who is paying $850 a month on his EVO and over $200 on insurance, OUCH.

If you totaled the truck, you would no longer be accident free.

You also said you need a reliable vehicle to get to school.

wait till hurricane season. Go to a weekend vacation in florida on predicted hurricane day. Leave car where it could get easily flooded. problem solved.

Here are some excuses to get an EVO.

1. All wheel drive
2. Good braking
3. small 2.0T motor = supposedly "better" MPG's than larger displacement motors
4. four doors with a good amount of interior space
5. front air bags

You can tell him that it has very well handling that is forgiving if you need to quickly maneuver around a pot hole or an animal (deer) that jumps in front of you. But avoid telling him that its very quick, unless he is a car enthusiest himself.

Oh totalling the truck might work against you because he might think your not a responsible driver. Tell him about the deer story and you would like a car thats not only a pleasure for the eyes but more reliable in response.

Good luck,

tell your parent(s) you need a 4 door, boosted, awd vehicle that will allow you to carry all those books, will get you to class on time, and you'll get there even if it rains and snows heavily. then, when you become a working professional, you'll return the favor.

No joke. I didn't even have money to buy CDs when I was in college. Evos are ****in $$$ as hell to maintain and own(insurance, etc).
