Wow, this thread is full of stuff I love people to do to me. I have people do this all the time, and it never works. Go down to 25, throttle (and yeah, 90% of Evos are faster than me, but they're not the ones doing it), pull ahead, usually we hit about 80, the Porsche keeps hauling to 100ish, then its brake check time *****! Watch car swerve, go into other lane, laugh histerically. One time I almost made a Camaro hit the divider because he did this, and needless to say couldn't quite brake as well as the Evo. Screetch screetch all over the place, 3 lanes wide, spinning around. I think HE learned his lesson.

I HATE people who do blocking techniques like that. And like you turn on your blinker and the person speeds up and slows down so you can never get over. Its like one big day at the track!

Honestly, I don't ever brake check. I think people should relax and just move, it is not that big a deal. The most I do is just let off the gas and coast down to a little under the speed limit.

Although, when I was younger, I had 2 things I did that were immature. 1. A lot of roads in Michigan are 2 lanes each way, If I was being tailed, I would come up to someone going real slow in the right lane and match his speed, so no one could pass. 2. I would accelerate and keep the person from changing lanes to get off the highway, so they would miss their exit, or if they were in the exit lane and needed to stay on I made sure they couldnt get on and had to exit. People would be so pissed from their expression...years ago.

Brake checking is risky, I don't want a problem with my car nor do I want to risk dealing with the other driver. There are crazy people out there now, who knows worst case he pulls a gun.

the break check can lead for serius injuries. like hit some one on the side of the road.
i dont find it funny at all. you can just slow down too. He will leave even then too, since he is fast right?

a lot of people probably say the same about evo drivers...every time i see a kid slumped with his hat on sideways racing through traffic makes me ashamed I drive an evo.

Your dad seems incredibly mature to suggest a brake check. I completely disagree with what he was doing, but what if he had jerk-reaction swerved into that van and it was full of 5 dead kids because of you?

Making unsafe situations more unsafe is never a positive solution.

C) In the right!
I'd understand someone trying to get me to move over if there's nobody in front of me (I don't ride in the left lane if the right lane is clear), but it's when I'm in traffic with 5-10 cars in front of me and I can't see someones headlights that I start to get pissed off! In that case, BRAKE AWAY!
