Help - Oil in intercooler

I replaced the stock piping and noticed oil in the intercooler piping and in the ic. I know this has to be something with the turbo, but not sure what. Unfortunately, Mitsubishi mechanics have been the only ones that have messed with the turbo. Stock turbo as well. 45k miles on the car.

Take it back and don't tell em you changed the stock piping, say you just noticed it now.

if it is only a small amount of oil (under a few tablespoons) it is most likely just residual oil leftover from the PCV system & is considered normal & even acceptable on a motor with 45k on the clock

yeah get an oil catch can. this will filter the air and prevent oil from getting in. do a search on some home made oil catch can if you are on a budget.

+1 on the oil catch can to keep the oil out of the intercooler. I am amazed at the amount of oil that I get in my PVC side oil catch can. Do a search on here on how to clean out the intercooler.
