damn nice car. I personally couldn't do it. I wouldn't want to buy a modified car just because that's part of the fun of owning a ride is to mod it yourself.

 

Those Cobras are nice. My friend has a Mystic Chrome one that just has an intake and Borla Stinger exhaust on it. Its pretty fast but my Chevelle destroys it everywhere. Two things to think about when it comes to trading your Evo for the Cobra. The stock IRS is pretty strong but 600 whp is certainly exceeding its limit. So if the guy hasn't upgraded it then you will need a new rearend soon. The worst problem with them though is that when you up the boost they have a tendency to blow the sparkplugs out of the head. Stupid Ford design, who thinks that four threads is enough to hold a sparkplug in I had to repair two holes on one and they are a huge pain. Another thing is that if their badly damaged then you need a new cylinder head. Another guy I knew blew a couple of them and they dented his hood when they hit it and he ended up having to buy a new one in addition to a new cylinder head. Just be cautious about buying somebody elses project. Good luck.

You know your evo is in good shape, but you have no idea what the cobras condition is, even if you take it to a shop and get it checked out... there are many things they can miss.

sounds good, but is your car stock or modded that should tell you right there whether you should do it or not. both these cars are completely different. its like comparing apples to oranges.

haha if your a street racer or into drag... lol cobra, no brainer! even if you wanna get a good suspension. its still a sick car.

evo = quick and athletic
cobra = a monster... add the fact it has 600 hp, a friggin demon.

If you're even considering it then you should probably just do it. The 03-04 Cobra is sick and probably my favorite American car. If you want to get rid of the Evo (or you do) the Evo is just any car to you. To most of us, the Evo is timeless and nothing else feels even close. I'm pretty sure a good percentage of the guys who have first (I-III) and second (IV-VI) generation Evos would rather die than get rid of their cars.

to be honest, i'm not saying trade or keep the evo. it's up to you. however, that being said, in my opinion, i wouldn't trade ANY car for a mustang. period. cobra, shelby, saleen, droptop, or classic. i'm just not a ford guy and i just plain don't like mustangs. they may catch the attention of high school girls or get props from the homies on the block, but they get old quick. if you like it go for it. i'm sure there are people that will say mitsus are garbage. eh, to each his own. good luck.
