This shift light/tach combo is sick!

http://autometer.com/dpss/index.html

I totally want one of these (the 52mm gauge style one, not the tube style) - I'm planing on putting this in my apillar triple pod gauge. Any feedback? I was thinking of getting the stage 2 version.

Watch the demo, I think there is alot of good information on it.

Does anybody know for sure if this will work on a Evolution IX?

I figured it would work, I was hoping to nail someone that already had one and could give me some pointers, I think I'm going to get level 2. I wonder where I can find one the cheapest?

Anyways, does anybody have a clue how easy it would be to install, or what the steps are?

My a-pillar will have this gauge, a boost gauge, and a oil pressure gauge. I'm getting the pod that completely replaces the stock a pillar.

I had this one in my MINI & really liked it. It is only a single stage shift light, but it's easy to operate & you can switch between 3 brightness levels. I will be getting one of theese 2 for the EVO, but I haven't decided which one yet. I think I'll get the AutoMeter light since it has the silver bezel that will match my AEM gauges.

I've got one at work I've been playing with. It's a pretty cool piece for the price.

It shouldn't be much if any harder to install than any other shift light.

Trying to finish my install of this shift light today, having problems getting an accurate RPM reading.

What should I set the light points at?

I was thinking...

Solid Yellow: 4500RPM
Blinking Yellow: 5500RPM
Green (shift): 6500RPM
Red (overrev): 7000RPM

I don't care for flashy gauges, but their website is nicely done.

You have the same shift light?

If so, how did you get the signal. I have mine hooked to a coil now and I'm having problems above 3000 RPM.

I like my D-Com SPII. 5 LED, 3 green 1 yellow and 1 red. As you rev, the LED's lite up one by one, and when you hit the shift point, the red one lites up, all of them flashes and it also makes a beeping noise.

Setting up is a piece of cake too. It's so cool.

I have mine programmed already too, its easy to program- Problem is my signal isnt working right - above 3000 RPM it starts to think 2 pulses are one, so it will jump from 3000 to 1500 to 3000 back and forth, If i rev higher it still does the same thing - 4000 2000 4000 and so on.

I either have a bad shift light or a bad signal. The ground to power reading is measuring a solid 12.24 volts.

No, sorry, I have a different shift light, but it also has three settings. It is sequential. Actually, here's a pic:

I just got mine a few days ago and I'm currently plugging into the cigarette lighter. So far it's working fine.
