I just watched pass time with a yellow evo stock turbo running a claimed "30" psi on race gas. Not sure if anyone has seen the show but people guess the times the car will run. So the guys are guessing the 12's and 2 of them said eehh 30psi that thing is going to come unglued.... Tree is going down he is bouncing off the 2-step the lights go green and POP silent rolling death! They never said what happened but I assume blow, diff, or something? Does anyone know?

 

I heard he blew the tranny and was on the stock clutch not sure thought there is another thread about this somewhere where some one says what happened

Is it even possible for the stock clutch to grab like that? I figured it was an aftermarket clutch and the drive blew some **** up!

 

yeah that was unfortunate. the contestants didnt even know anything about the car lol

wow, that sucks..Evos are not representing well on that show..there was one a couple of weeks ago with all this aftermarket stuff...he bogged the start and ran like high 13's or something..

 

There was evo 8 with a claimed 600hp and ran low 12s and a evo 9 with bolt ons that ran high 13

 

yeah I seen the show last night a rookie evo driver. His car looked just as stock as mine and running 30lbs of boost on a stock turbo and motor yeah right. I knew something bad was gonna happen. Maybe he should check with the evo forums first before he does anymore mods

 

yea i was watching the show for the first time yesterday and was stoked an evo pulled up. he rolls out with his chanel sunglasses and i start lmao. they ask him what's the stock boost and he says 30 psi, but it's on a race gas tune, stock internals. i knew some **** was bout to blow, but i hoped he would fly down there with a 11 sec run. light turns green and the dude rolls 3 feet, catastrophic failure...

 

I laughed at him!

its no big problem, but the general page gets hit with alot of BS threads, and people with real questions don't allways get there answers because of all the clutter.
